Geoffrey Robinson (b.1945) trained at Bournemouth College of Art in the 1960’s, before a career in advertising and music. Since the 1990’s he began a full time painting career and his interest in abstraction, narrative and still life has led him to produce a body of work inspired by British artists from the St Ives School. He has established a personal style of lyrical abstraction and his work has been widely exhibited and is in numerous private and public collections. In 2004 ITV broadcast a documentary about him and his work under the title ‘Geoffrey Robinson in The Frame’ for Meridian television.
