Description
Roy Carter (1938-2012) was a self-taught artist and sculptor who worked primarily in marble, terracotta, plaster, and stone sculpture. His practice utilized architectural and classical influences, from which he also produced works in relief, both colour and pure white in painted wood and card. A significant amount of Carter’s artworks were commissioned, and he was also represented by art fairs in London and galleries in Bristol, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire
