Description

Colin Kellam (b.1942) has more than 40 years experience of making studio pottery.  After studying sculpture and ceramics at Loughborough College, Colin went on to assist Marianne de Trey at Shinners Bridge Pottery, Dartington. During this time he developed his highly individual style, firing the results in his own wood kiln.

In 1968, he set up his own pottery at the Lion Brewery Pottery, Totnes. Colin and his team produce an extensive range of ceramics both functional and sculpural. All work is hand decorated using natural pigments over an ash glaze and fired to 1300 celsius.
