Keith Milow is recognised as one of the foremost exponents of British geometric abstraction. Throughout his career, he has explored the visual language of architecture, mathematics, and systems theory, creating works that balance intellectual rigour with striking formal elegance. His prints from the late 1960s mark an important phase in the development of conceptual and systems-based art in Britain.

Created in 1969, PR6NT A demonstrates Milow’s interest in the structural principles that underpin both architecture and visual design. The composition is constructed from a carefully ordered arrangement of geometric forms, generating a sense of rhythm, balance, and spatial tension. While abstract in appearance, the work evokes architectural plans and engineered structures, reflecting the artist’s fascination with the ways in which complex forms can arise from simple organisational rules.

The screenprint medium enabled Milow to achieve the precision and consistency central to his practice, while the editioned format reinforced his interest in repetition and serial production. More than five decades after its creation, PR6NT A remains a compelling example of the dialogue between art, architecture, and conceptual thought that characterised the most innovative artistic developments of the late twentieth century.
