Event: Martyn Brewster & Peter Davies:

Printmakers in Conversation

Martyn Brewster has been involved in printmaking for over 45 years, having initially completed a post-graduate year (1974-1975) in the print department at Brighton Polytechnic (now The University of Brighton), he also has had many major residencies and has taught throughout his career.  Martyn also has artwork in the Hepworth Wakefield Collection which forms a part of the Tim Sayer Bequest.

The artists will talk about their work and their creative process.  This will be particularly relevant for Hepworth Wakefield audiences as we will be showcasing one of Peter’s artworks that are inspired by Hepworth Wakefield’s collections: ‘Wakefield’, 2020.  Peter Davies is the author of After Trewyn: St Ives Sculptors Since Hepworth (Old Bakehouse Publications, 2001).
